About Ask a Diplomat

Ask-a-Diplomats events host a diverse array of guests to cover a wide range of international issues. As the speaker series of AMIRS, we have hosted Q&A events with United States Department of State officials and ambassadors from foreign countries both on Zoom and in person for students, uplifted the voices of victims of atrocities, and more. Additionally, AAD facilitates embassy visits, social events, and other fun programming! Commitment level is low—however much you would like to engage! Programming Committee members also have the opportunity to apply for leadership positions which grant unique connections and networking opportunities with some of DC’s most prominent foreign service officials.
