Welcome
The American University Model United Nations Team just became the 5th best Collegiate Model United Nations Team in North America.
Just a few years ago, we were unranked. This growth has been due to committed leaders and better training, but most importantly it has been a product of the hard work and dedication of the team itself. We have pushed ourselves and worked together to never settle - and we have no intention of slowing down.
My Assistant Head Delegates, Meesha Reiisieh and Josh Iseler, and I, are excited to help the team continue its success in the coming year, and we want you to join us.
Many team members, including myself, had not participated in Model United Nations before coming to American University. Our delegates come from a myriad of interests, backgrounds, majors, and aspirations. We are found in every single school on campus, in internships spanning all subjects across Washington, DC, and in student organizations ranging from Greek life to theater. We are a diverse and dynamic team, stronger because of our differences, united by a common passion for competition and International Relations.
I look forward to welcoming a new class of delegates in the coming fall, and watching the team continue to reach new heights.

Meesha is a sophomore in the School of Public Affairs majoring in Political Science and Psychology. Since moving to DC from California, she’s played an active role in the international relations society through staffing WIRC, AmeriMUNC, and the Model G20 summit, while also competing on the Model UN team.
