ChoMUN 2019: Blowing Away the Competition in the Windy City

This weekend the AU Model United Nations team sent a small delegation to the University of Chicago for ChoMUN XII. Despite the early morning departure via Reagan National Airport on Thursday, our delegates were delighted to reunite with friends and participate in some of the most unique and challenging committees on the circuit. AU delegates brought home a total of 9 individual awards in addition to an Outstanding Small Delegation award - AU’s fifth delegation award of the year.

  • Meesha Reiisieh, Verbal Commendation in Article V: The 1932 Constitutional Convention

  • Mitchell Lenneville, Best Delegate in Article V: The 1932 Constitutional Convention

  • Zach Stahl & Rachel Rubin, Honorable Delegates in UN Security Council

  • Elle Kalisz, Outstanding Delegate in Ditch the Dutch: Indonesian War for Independence, 1945

  • Zach Bontempo, Best Delegate in The Liverpool Ministry, UK 1812

  • Josh Iseler, Outstanding Delegate in The Council of New France, 1660

  • Emily Devereaux, Verbal Commendation in The Court of Alexander the Great

  • Mike O’Connor, Outstanding Delegate in If These Walls Could Talk: Kowloon Walled City
