AMIRS Enters it's 75th Year

The American University International Relations Society is celebrating 75 years! Founded in 1947 as the Pan Ethnon Society, AMIRS has transformed with each passing decade, but our mission has remained the same: to spark dialogue on global affairs.

Our five branches have provided countless opportunities to thousands of students with a passion for international relations. Since 1948, our collegiate Model United Nations Team has created a legacy of competitive success. Our revolutionary Model UN conferences, AmeriMUNC and WIRC, have provided inspiration to high school students across the western hemisphere. And AMIRS’ exciting international relations programming, now with the inclusion of ambassador events with Ask-A-Diplomat, allows any student to become engaged in international affairs.

Today, over 300 students at American University are involved with AMIRS. We invite you to join us in celebrating this important milestone, and we look forward to what the next 75 years will bring.
