American University Model United Nations Team (AUMUN)
The AUMUN Team is the #1 overall ranked collegiate Model UN team in North America, made up of around 40 students. Delegates selected to join hone their debate, public speaking, writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through practices and competitions while becoming immersed in a close-knit community of students.
American University Model United Nations Conference (AmeriMUNC)
AmeriMUNC is a three-day Model United Nations conference for 900+ high school students on AU’s campus. AmeriMUNC is run entirely by AU students, providing them with a unique opportunity to engage with Model United Nations and grow in their leadership abilities. This year, AmeriMUNC is on February 3-5, 2023!
Washington International Relations Conference (WIRC)
WIRC is a one-day Model United Nations training conference dedicated to introducing and enhancing the experience of Model UN for high school advisors and students. Scheduled on November 5, 2022, WIRC staff have the chance to lead workshops and manage Model United Nations simulations.
Ask-A-Diplomat (AAD)
Ask-A-Diplomat hosts embassies to talk about their country’s challenges, foreign or domestic policies, and goals, allowing members to learn more about world affairs in an interactive and engaging way. AAD meetings and events require low commitment while offering once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to meet leaders from across the globe and make friends with similar passions!
Community Programming (CP)
Community Programming provides opportunities for all AMIRS members to connect over their shared interest in global affairs through social, professional development and IR-focused events. This includes the American University Diplomatic Scrimmage (AUDS) a one-day Model UN simulation for AU students, IR Movie Nights, Alumni Career Panels, and more!
