About Community Programming
We are all in AMIRS for the same reason-- we have a passion, in some capacity, for Model United Nations. However, that does not have to be our only unifying feature. We believe that our organization should provide non-simulation events for all of our members to enjoy. Yes, both the feeling of competing on our Model UN team or chairing a committee at AmeriMUNC are incredible. But, when you think back on your time spent in AMIRS, we want all members to remember some of the happiest times spent with good friends in college. Our Community Programming team works to foster a fun and positive environment for our organization. This sector of our organization also gives way for members that are passionate about event planning or community building to shine.

Beyond the substantive elements of our organization, AMIRS is also a community within AU to develop lifelong friendships. By joining AMIRS, all members have access to our community programming events. From professional development events to movie nights and bowling, our Community Programming branch is dedicated to providing helpful resources and fun experiences that will last a lifetime.
