AUMUN Wins Outstanding Large Delegation at CMUNNY

From September 30 to October 3, the AU Model United Nations Team (AUMUN) competed at the Columbia Model United Nations in New York (CMUNNY) conference, which was hosted virtually by Columbia University. This conference featured crisis committees, requiring delegates to remain adaptable while responding to an evolving crisis scenario. This was also the team's first conference during which the team's new members had the opportunity to compete. The topics covered ranged from historical conflicts, like the Northern Irish Independence Movement, and fantasy committees, such as Agents of SHIELD. Our delegates’ preparation and hard work paid off, earning the team Outstanding Large Delegation. 

In addition to the team's delegation award, AUMUN had four individual awardees:

Verbal Commendation in "Agents of HYDRA": Henry Fix

Verbal Commendation in "Agents of SHIELD": Myria Garcia

Honorable Mention in "The Northern Expedition/Warlords of Taishan": Whit Ford

Best Delegate in “Agents of HYDRA”: Jack Tapay-Cueva
